A Series Of Random Thoughts

* I really need to consider keeping a list of artists I want to commission so that I don't forget about them all of a sudden.
* I want to get a piece from JKLind of Judeli, but my Patreon support for him has yet to go through. I just have to wait for the start of the month, I suppose.
* I cleaned house recently in WoW. Deleted a bunch of characters I don't play due to not wanting to split my time between the two factions. I'm all Alliance on Wrymrest Accord now.
* I keep restarting my Animal Crossing town because I'm annoyed with my character's appearance. It's the right hair but wrong eye color, or vice versa. I'm too impatient to wait for Shampoodle to open, too.
* I need to take it slow with each character. I forget that not everything falls into place for each character that easily. They need time to take on a life of their own.
* I want to be able to advertise work on the dA forums without being flooded with resumes and poorly thought-out sales pitches. Then again, most artists I really want to commission (read: generally the fetish-friendly artists) don't use the forums to look for work.
* I hate having to get into a stream just to get a chance at a commission. The timing of these events generally does not mesh with my work schedule, which makes something that's already difficult to get into, due to competing with everyone else, practically impossible.
* I got my inventory bonus today! I kinda want to get something for myself, but I'm drifting between that part of the commission acquisition triangle where I don't really have any good ideas and artist availability is tentative at best.

(Poll) Florida Supercon 2014

Hey there, folks!
So, as some of you may know, there is a convention held here in Miami called Florida Supercon that i have attended every year since 2011. It's probably the one con that I've truly fell in love with (and the only major con I can easily access).
Last year, I thought it would be a great idea to have a portfolio of my favorite characters on hand to show to the artists that regularly attend the artist's alley. It makes for easier commissioning, to be certain. And, in fact, it was a resounding success. I met all kinds of cool people who were interested in my portfolio and did some amazing work for me.
So, this year, I decided I need to up the ante. I've gone a step further by including QR codes on the front cover of my binder that link to all of my social media hubs.
The ultimate question is, who will be my poster child for the portfolio?

Something Of An Epiphany

So, I was wondering to myself why my idea requests haven't borne any fruit. But I realized that perhaps I was asking the wrong question. Why is it that I'm not getting any ideas? That's not important. The question I really need to ask is 'why am I asking other people for ideas when I should be making up my own?' That lead to 'why am I having such a hard time thinking of ideas?' And there is where I now realize the problem lies.
My creativity is at an all-time low. I don't want to blame my job for it, because I've been in worse time constraints and still found time to work on the things I like to do.
The real solution to my problem is to reinvigorate my imagination. While I know it's still the whole 'asking people for help' bit I'm stuck on, at least I'm not trying to milk other people for ideas they could be using for their characters. Instead, I need to refill on things that give me inspiration. If anyone has ways they use to rekindle their motivation, let me know.
Here are some ideas I've been mulling over:
• An RP blog of some kind. I hear it's a pretty popular thing on Tumblr, so it could be worth a shot. I just need to learn how it works on Tumblr as opposed to live RP.
• New media. Books I haven't read, movies I haven't watched, games I haven't played. Something to give me a new perspective or angle. Feel free to tell me some of your favorites.
• I need to make listening to music a habit again. It seemed like I was more fulfilled when I had a soundtrack.
• In regards to World of Warcraft RP, I need to get out of my comfort zone. Socializing in-character is nice, but you need to break things up with conflict or a change in scenery every once in a while.
It's gonna take time, but it's time I'm willing to spend.

I was thinking recently about how sometimes... I want a commission, but my brain is too addled or distracted to generate something meaningful or concrete.
SO! I thought of an idea.
A SUGGESTION BOX! (How clever.)
The idea is simple: Think of an idea, write it into a request, and post it onto my tumblr's ask page! Seems simple enough, right? I hope so!
